Issue No. 41 includes: Lex Hixon/Sheikh Nur al-Jerrahi, Rebbe Zalman Schachter, Swami Brahmeshananda, Swami Sunirmalananda, Reverend Kosho Finch, Yogi Lam FuHo, Reverend Chris vonLobedan, Babaji Bob Kindler, Annapurna Sarada, Sarasvati Marleigh Fansler, and regular features (The Nectar of Advaitic Instruction, Wisdom Facets from the Gem of Truth, Sayings of the World’s Religions, and Vedanta 101).

Nectar #41 features Buddhist practices and perspectives from Chinese and Shingon traditions. These articles offer hands-on dharma teachings for a strong practice from Pure Land Buddhist Tradition by Yogi Lam FuHo; and a teachings of the Moon disk meditation by Shingon Minister, Rev. Kosho Finch.  Swami Brahmeshananda of the Ramakrishna Order of India shares important practical facets of spiritual life in “The Marvelous Mind of the Buddha.”

From Vedanta and Tantra, the Path of the Divine Mother (Shaktism), united with Advaita Vedanta, is presented by Babaji Bob Kindler in a presentation of Shakta-Advaita-Vada as the “Ultimate Fringe of Advaitic Thinking.” Swami Sunirmalananda of the Ramakrishna Order offers the Ancient Vedic and Yogic solutions to our modern day problems with technology, while Annapurna Sarada focuses on the Vedantic truism that “The Real Never Ceases to Be” using excerpts from the modern nondual poem, “We are Atman All-Abiding.”

Vedanta and Catholic Mysticism are explored in the essay, “St. Teresa’s Interior Castle as Seen through the Lens of Vedanta,” by SRV student, Marleigh Sarasvati Fansler. Then, Christian Trinitarian Theology & Epistemology are explored from the perspective of direct spiritual experience in the article by Rev. Chris VonLobedan.

Lex Hixon appears throughout this issue: under the mantle of Sheikh Nur al-Jerrahi, in his article, “Pavillion of Light, pt 3”; as a student and explorer of the I Ching, in “Consulting the I-Ching,” and as interviewer in a lively and spontaneous “In the Spirit” interview with a revered leader in the Jewish Renewal Movement, Rabbi Zalman Schachter.

Nectar’s Regular features include: “The Nectar of Advaitic instruction,” penned by Nectar’s chief editor, drawn from years of working with Vedanta students as they seek to understand how to make their lives vibrate with transcendent wisdom; “Vedanta 101,” wherein the nature and relative law of Karma is taken up; “Wisdom Facets,” with timeless statements of truth from the Ramakrishna spiritual lineage; and “Sayings of the World’s Religious Traditions.”
